Polly Peterson
The best thing about live theater is that it requires all participants — actors, managers, technicians, directors — and of course the audience to be in the moment together. Call it creative embodiment. Call it collective mindfulness. Call it art incarnate. It only works when we all show up ready for the adventure together. And when it works, it is one of my favorite collective human experiences. Having participated in community theater all my life, mostly in the audience, but also as a writer and a dramaturg, I am so excited to be on the board of directors for Gather Repertory as it brings community theater to Newberg.
Phil Amaya
Phil Amaya began his involvement with Gather Repertory Theatre in 2022 when he played Mr. Webb in Our Town. He was later invited to join the Board of Directors in 2024. A resident of the Newberg area since 2016, Phil is the Tasting Room Manager at Eminent Domaine. He also owns and operates Wine de Roads with his wife, Lisa Gilbertson, offering guided bicycle wine tours. Additionally, Phil serves on the Board of Directors for Taste Newberg, the destination marketing organization promoting local tourism.
